2025-2026 Series Subscriptions

It’s our last ride(s)! We’re slowly sunsetting DoubleCross Press over the next two years, but we have a few more goodies for you on our way out!

In 2025, we’ll be producing three books in our Poetics of the Handmade Series—essays by writers who participate in small press culture about the whys, wheres, and hows of the work they do:

  • Asbestos, Duct Tape, and Willow Bark: 8 Notes on Heading Toward Hostile Books by Joe Hall with Ryan Kaveh Sheldon

  • A Coin, A Moth, A Literary Journal by Alicia Wright

  • Poetics of the Handmade in New Orleans, a collection of short essays on small press culture from the New Orleans Poetry Festival

Also in 2025, we’ll be re-issuing Ryan Kaveh Sheldon’s Lemon, originally published (in an edition printed in lemon juice!) by Hostile Books in 2015.

Then, in 2026, we’ll be producing books by longtime DoubleCross editors Anna Gurton-Wachter and MC Hyland, along with 1-2 final chapbooks in the Poetics of the Handmade series.

You can support this work in our home stretch either by subscribing to the full set of 2025 or 2025/2026 books or by joining DoubleCross Press as a member (which comes with additional titles from our back-catalogue and/or letterpress broadsides). You can subscribe for one or both years here.
